KissFC
Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)

Here you will find Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about the program.

. What is new in version 1.5.2?

A few users reported the message "Class not registered. You need the following file to be installed on your machine: MSSTDFMT.DLL" when they tried to run KissFC. This version just fixes that Visual Basic 6.0 idiosyncrasy and is functionally equivalent to version 1.5.1. If you're running without problems, you don't need to download and install this new version.

. Why a photo of the "Sugar Loaf"  in the window of KissFC?

The "Sugar Loaf"  is one of the main icons of Rio de Janeiro, KissFC's home town. That is the reason why I picked it. By clicking on the photo, you will understand why it's there: it's a place holder that provides corporate users with the possibility of customizing the program with their logos.

. Why doesn't the program have "Online Help"?

That is an idea that can be implemented in a future release. Experience shows that very few users have the habit of consulting "Online Help". So, I opted for writing the manual in HTML, which can be read with any navigator, thus reaching a wider range of users.

. Why doesn't the calculator have a keyboard, allowing for the entry of numbers with the mouse?

If the program already provides a simple, efficient and fast way to enter data - the computer keyboard - why to add an extremely slow one?  I recognize the importance and convenience of the mouse in several specific applications, but in this particular case of data entry in text boxes, it is, to say the minimum, grotesque.
